What is Pharm.D?

An establishment of better healthcare system is one of the primary objectives of a nation to build a healthy society for better future. The healthcare system has to develop patient centred treatment approach that is supported by doctors, pharmacists, nurses etc.

The existing Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) curriculum in India is more appropriate towards manufacturing, production, formulation and research oriented. However, to be a part of direct healthcare system, a pharmacist should be equipped with hospital and clinical skills to provide best therapy.

Pharm.D course curriculum introduced in 2008 is a well balanced curriculum which makes a graduate to choose any sector including hospital (Dispensing, TDM, CDR) and clinical pharmacist’s roles.
