ABOUT US
Hindu College of Pharmacy (HCOP) was established in the year 1999, under the management of the reputed Hindu College and High Schools’ Council, Guntur, A.P., which has been serving the cause of education in and around Guntur for the past 160 years and has a group of 12 famous institutions along with Hindu College of Pharmacy under its management.

Scholarly Activities
- The outcomes of the research are translated into research publications/presentations both at national and international platforms.
- The inventions have been patented and few of them had undergone technology transfer to pharmaceutical industry.
- The structured MoUs with industrial and academic collaborators enable the college to provide consultancy services in all facets of pharmaceutical sciences and practice.

Infrastructure and Research Facilities
Outstanding infrastructure, with Multi-floor building, built in a serene campus with an extent of about 2.5 acres dedicated exclusively for the Pharmacy discipline makes the teaching-learning process a pleasurable experience. The entire campus including the hostel facilities is Wi-Fi enabled with uninterrupted power and water supply. Internal Stakeholders:
Students:
The ultimate beneficiaries (from the PEOs) among all the stakeholders are students. Students expect that the qualification acquired from this college will equip them to get recruited by the reputed national and multinational Pharmaceutical Industries, Govt. recruitments, Pharmaceutical manufacturing or any other department of Pharmaceutical Industry on the basis of their interest. Students’ views are collected in the form of Course Exit survey and Student Satisfaction Survey and the same are analyzed to frame PEOs. Students also expect that their qualification is recognized by the institutions for the sake of getting admission, if they are interested to opt for higher studies either at National level universities or by foreign universities. The institution stands up to their expectation.
Faculty:
For effective implementation of the curriculum and to implement latest teaching-learning methodologies, to empower themselves, teaching faculty allows the feedback from various other stakeholders by interacting with them formally and informally. Proposed improvements in curriculum by alumni, industry, professors from other universities will be implemented for the effective planning of curriculum enrichment. College/Departmental Vision, Mission, PEOs are the guiding factors.
Supporting Staff:
Laboratory technicians, office staff, administrative Assitant, examination cell coordinator, central stores staff etc. extend their cooperation in achieving PEOs. At every level starting from the inventory, collection of fees, maintenance of receipt books, and arrangement of laboratory, maintenance of required laboratory chemicals, glass ware and equipment, cumulative activities of all the supporting staff will support to great extent in achievement of PEOs. Discipline, punctuality, efficiency, concern and cooperation in meeting the institutional objectives are visible at every step.
Management:
Chairman, Secretary & Correspondent, Vice Chairman, Additional Secretary and other governing body members of this college are keen to impart quality pharmacy education to the students by recruiting experienced and qualified faculty members. To make the college a first choice for admission by the students of top rankers, Labs are equipped with sophisticated instruments and library is enriched with required number of text and reference books and research journals to make the students abreast of latest developments in the field of Pharmacy. Implementing adequate measures for realizing the Vision/Mission and PEOs is given utmost importance, be it in recruiting the faculty or establishment of Smart classes, conducting webinars etc.,

Alumni play a vital role in framing of PEOs. For the current students to succeed in their career, inputs collected from alumni during alumni meets or during their visit to the college, in terms of current subject matter and its improvement, suggestions, if any, for its improvement of curriculum are important inputs. These inputs will support in identifying and bridging the curricular gaps and paving a successful career to the students.
Professional and Regulating Bodies:
Views of the pharmacy professional bodies such as Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India (APTI), Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA) and regulating bodies like All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) are taken into consideration in framing of PEOs.
Affiliating University:
Hindu College of Pharmacy is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) . College PEOs are framed in synchronization with ANU PEOs.
