Welcome to the Hindu College of Pharmacy. It is my privilege to serve as Principal for this amazing institution and the collection of faculty, staff, students, and alumni that make up the HCOP family. Hindu College of Pharmacy holds 2(f) and 12(B) status from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated with Acharya Nagarjuna University,Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India.
I am hailing from the vibrant state of Andhra Pradesh, have paved an illustrious path in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, leaving mark as a distinguished, ratified Professor & Principal from affiliating university – Acharya Nagarjuna University and an accomplished researcher. Graduated in Pharmacy, B.Pharm.,(Hons.,) in 1994 from Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS),Pilani, Rajasthan and completed post-graduation in 1996, and furthered academic journey with a Doctorate of Philosophy in 2007, from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India.

We continue to build on those “firsts” with innovation, creativity, and a true sense of discovery, all aimed, in one way or another, at improving the health and life of the people of Andhra Pradesh and beyond, reflecting our institutional vision and mission.
I bring to the chair, 25 years of teaching and research experience with around 110 research/review papers in various international and National journals with 487 citations, h-index of 11, i10 index of 14. My experience includes research guidance, adjudicating and evaluating, chairing sessions in National conferences, organizing National seminars, workshops, conferences and training programmes to Pharmacy faculty and students. I am presently member of Board of Studies for Pharmacy Course at Acharya Nagarjuna University, a CPCSEA nominee for IAEC, showcasing a commitment to the regulatory and ethical aspects of pharmaceutical research for various Institutions, Chairman , Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Amaravathi Branch . And other responsible positions. I am life member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Association of Pharmacy Teachers of India.
Recognizing my contributions, I have been honoured with a fellowship award from the Association of Biotechnology and Pharmacy.
I have enriched my abilities which are essential for acting as the Principal of such a reputed institute. My 25 years of teaching to Pharmacy students have nurtured many aspiring pharmacists, fostering their professional development. As a research guide, I have guided 4 Ph.D. scholars to completion, while few more are currently pursuing their research. . Beyond academia, I have made contributions to society through extension and outreach activities, which made me to earn accolades from government and private agencies. My area of research expertise is in Preformulation studies, formulation development, Enhancement of Dissolution rate and solubility of Poorly soluble BCS class II drugs, and conducting Bioavailability (BA) and Bioequivalence (BE) studies. I am dedicated to promoting excellence in pharmaceutical education, fostering innovation, and shaping the future of pharmacy education and research.
