About the Department
The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry was established in the year of 2008. It was inaugurated by Prof. B. Shyamasundar, former Professor, Dept. of Science, ANU and Vice Chancellor of Yogi Vemanna University. It was started as a second PG course in our college. Department is having 3 Professors and 2 Assistant professors. Till now 13 batches have been completed, and 85 students have been placed in various colleges as a teaching faculty, in industry and also some students pursuing Ph.D.
Pharmaceutical Chemistry Course imparts knowledge in subjects of Biotechnology, Bioprocess Technology, Advanced Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Organic, Medicinal and Phytochemistry), Advanced Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Design. Labs are equipped with Synthetic Microwave oven (Catalyst), Heidolph Rotatory Vacuum Evaporator, Deep freezer (-20°C), CADD Software, etc.

Eligibility
B.Pharm Degree examinations in an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by PCI and has scored not less than 55% of maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years B.Pharm). Every student selected for admission to post graduate pharmacy program should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled. Selection Criteria through Merit and written test / personal interview.
